Democracy in Motion: Power the Vote

Our Movement:

Democracy isn’t something we watch happen — it’s something we move. Democracy in Motion is Joyful Resistance’s volunteer hub: the place where everyday people step into their power, take action together, and keep our communities informed, connected, and ready.

We believe in a democracy built by neighbors, fueled by care, and strengthened every time someone shows up.

Why This Matters:

Across the country, voting access, civil rights, and community protections are under pressure. But here’s the truth: when people organize, democracy gets stronger. When we show up, we win more than elections — we win dignity, representation, and a future where everyone has a voice.

What We Do:

We show up for each other. We defend democracy with joy. We keep moving — together.
